Type of Lime stone

Chalk is very white and fine grained type of limestone. It contains fragments of shell, but it also contains white powder which may be organic, chemical or elastic in origin. Chalk is used in making Portland cement, as a fertilizer and as a filler or extender in the manufacture of ceramics, paint, plastics and many other products.
