Know your body

Abdomen- A large body cavity lying between the thorax (chest cavity) and the pelvis. It is divided from the thorax by a wall of muscle, the Diaphragm and is lined with a membrane called the peritoneum. In women, abdomen also contains the ovaries and womb.
